   My teaching journey began in 2008 when I saw the need for more preschool programs in our town. I knew I wanted to help kids in our community prepare for kindergarten and beyond. I was always "that mom"--you know, the one that bought educational games for her kids to sneak in learning.  I had also been teaching my older son to read prior to him starting kindergarten and I thought, "I can do this!". 

 

  What started with 6 kids in a little room has expanded to a highly-successful 3K and 4K program. I have devoted myself to constant learning in order to be the best teacher I can be.

  In Spring 2020, COVID-19 changed everything.  I had to go from teaching in person to modifying my curriculum to a completely online format.  I made daily videos, pre-made and packaged the class crafts, and taught remotely.  And then I thought, "This might happen again!  What happens if I have to do this again in the fall or winter? What will other families do if they need to have their child in a preschool program but they aren't able to attend?"

 

  That is when I decided to launch a completely online, guided version of my preschool.  I wanted children to be able to have the same learning as my "in person" students, but from the safety and comfort of their homes.  

 

  So, here we are.  I have partnered with an amazing designer to create a custom workbook for 3K and 4K, so each day is already laid out for the student.  And, parents, you can rest assured that all instruction, concepts, and even class crafts, are completely guided by me, Mrs. Christy!
